
About the cemetery
Crickhowell Cemetery is owned and managed by the Town Council which delegates its day-to-day management to its Burial Board. The burial ground surrounding St Edmunds church is owned and managed by the church and is closed to further burials.
Location of the cemetery
Crickhowell Cemetery is located alongside St Edmund’s Church. It comprises the area to the South of the public footpath which runs between New Road and the Lych Gate at the end of Church Lane.

Visiting the cemetery
There is no parking available at the cemetery except for funeral vehicles. Public parking is available in the town car park on Beaufort Street, and in the High School (weekends only). Wheelchair access is available from both.
Dogs are not permitted in the Cemetery with the exception of guide dogs which must be kept on a lead
Flowers and pot plants (in plastic pots) may be left on graves but the following are not permitted and will be removed by the Council:
- Windmills or wind chimes
- Fences
- Lights
- Ornaments
- Any item made of china or glass such as vases
- Bushes and trees

The cemetery has 4 war graves. Details of these can be found on the Commonwealth War Graves website.
Maintenance of the cemetery
The cemetery grounds are managed by an established, family run garden maintenance company. We hope you find the cemetery well maintained and a pleasant space to visit. Do contact the Clerk if you find anything not to your satisfaction.
